Jo Newth has been working with clay for the past fifteen years, taking inspiration from nature.
She uses seed heads, particularly poppies, in the decoration of her pieces to give varied textures and patterns, which are then enhanced by a subtle palette of colours.
Jo works largely in porcelain as she is inspired by
its smooth and robust qualities combined with delicacy and translucency. She throws and hand builds wares, ranging from jewellery to vessels.
Commissions for special pieces are welcome.
