Winchcombe
Pottery
Winchcombe
pottery was established in 1926 on the site of an early nineteenth
century country pottery. Between 1926 and the early fifties the
pottery produced domestic slipware.
The
pottery now produces a wide range of hand-thrown stoneware pots
for domestic use fired to about 1300oC in a down-draught wood-fired
kiln. Stoneware pottery is durable and entirely free from lead or
any injurious chemicals.
Winchcombe
pottery is suitable for use in dishwashers, conventional ovens and
microwaves. Do not put stoneware under grills, on hot plates or
naked flame.
