BILL
MOORE
Bill
Moore studied Ceramics at the University of the West of England
for his BA Hons degree.
After an apprenticeship in France and a short period at the Manningtree
Pottery, Essex, he started his own pottery in 1993. His time in
France where he learned the ways of life as a potter proved to be
a great source of inspiration for the work he produces today.
Bill produces a range of contemporary domestic stoneware, hand-thrown
and glazed in a variety of rich glazes. An important inspiration
in the design of his work is the making process itself. The function
of the finished pot and the balance of line within it are most important.
Bill brings these factors together in producing a range of elegant
and very useable hand-thrown, finely turned and richly glazed pottery.
