SEAN & VICI CASSERLEY

Sean and Vici Casserley trained at Cornwall College of Art in a course influenced and advised by Bernard and Janet Leach. Later, they assisted Michael Cardew at Wenford Bridge Pottery. In 1975, they took over Taena Pottery, a long-established pottery located at Upton-St-Leonards, Gloucestershire.

At Taena Pottery Sean and Vici carry on the long tradition of making a wide range of hand-made, traditional, English domestic slipware.  This includes oven-to-table ware, commemorative plates, pressed dishes and other specially commissioned items made to order.  Their terracotta pots are decorated with slip and glazed in a high gloss glaze.
