PAULINE BALL

Originally trained as a nurse, but having discovered clay, she soon became hooked on the medium.Her work has developed from her interest in the natural world. Animal forms have increasingly influenced her creations, with animals transforming themselves into pots - or is it the other way around?

Frogs, toads and lizards are her current interest. Pauline also makes garden ware and water features in which the natural world is a strong influence on both form and decoration. She enjoys the versatility of clay and the way it can be both soft and flowing and hard and stony.
